Michael Costales
Chief Flight Instructor, CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP "My passion in life is to share my own passions with others." – Michael Costales The Chief Pilot of Beverly Flight Center, Michael was born and raised in Miami, Florida. As is the case with many pilots, he developed a passion for flying machines from a very early age. Out of high school he began studying Architecture in Boston, but soon came to realize that he wanted to turn his passion for flying into a profession. He took his first flight lesson in January of 2000 at the age of 20, and having achieved all of his instructor certificates, began instructing at the flight school the following year. In 2008 he was promoted to the position of Chief Flight Instructor. Michael has a particular affinity for seaplanes, and as such holds an Airplane Single-Engine Sea Certificate. He also enjoys flying gliders, and plans to obtain his Commercial Glider Certificate in the summer of 2010. Michael’s career goal is to become a charter or corporate pilot, but for the time being he is very much enjoying his time fully-engaged in one of his true passions: educating. When he is not teaching others how to fly, he can be found teaching others how to scuba dive, having been engaged as a professional scuba diver and instructor since 2005. Aviation aside, he is an avid skiier, pianist, latin/ballroom dancer, and overall enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. Click here to contact Michael. |
