Elizabeth Graf
First Officer, Embraer 145
Beverly Flight Center helped me to my current status first probably because of the other instructors helping me study for my interview. This I see as a huge benefit from the school because it is a close community and the instructors all helped each other. I also learned a lot from all of the different students that I had. They were all from different backgrounds and in different stages in life. The students helped prepare me for all the different kinds of Captains that I have to fly with. Lastly one of my first days of the job at Beverly Flight Center I was assigned to do a photo flight which included flying all over New England and dealing with various types of weather, terrain and performance issues. Almost every day at Express Jet I deal with these things.

I am a 1990 graduate of North Shore Community College Aviation Science program. I continued on to graduate from Salem State College with a Bachelor's degree in Business. I flew at the Beverly FIight Center from 1985 to 1992; Introductory flight to Certified Instrument Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor. I look back to the Beverly Flight Center with fondness. BFC is a great place for learning, flying and has an incredibly enlightening work environment. The Beverly Flight Center gave me all the tools I would need to succeed in the airline industry.

Beverly Flight Center has given me the guidence and skills neccesary to be successful in the airline industry. I've been flying for over 10 years now. I started when I was 14 years old washing airplanes, and worked my way through the my certficates and ratings, culminating in being flight instructor for two years. The instruction I recieved at the Flight Center was top notch. I had an experienced group of pilot mentors around me to draw from. I was then able, as a flight instructor, to pass that experience on to my own students. Today, I am a First Officer with American Eagle, but still look back to my time at the Beverly Flight Center with fond memories.

I am currently employed as a First Officer at American Eagle Airlines, and have been here for four years. I got the job immediately after completing the North Shore Community College Aviation Science Program. I had an intro flight lesson in 2004, and immediately went on a fast track to get my license, doing so in just about 3 months. After that, I accelerated through all of my ratings, and couldn’t have done so without the assistance of the great flights instructors that BFC has on their staff. I have always been impressed with the experience level of the flight instructors, and that’s probably because they only hire within their own CFI graduates; a true result of superior training. I have recommended a few people, and will continue to send future students to BFC, as I believe their training syllabus far surpasses that of other local flight schools.

This year will be 20 years since I left my CFI job at Beverly Flight Center. I began taking lessons there at age 15 and hung around enough to finally talk Arne into giving me a job at "the desk" while I completed all of my flight training. I finished last couple years of college (NSCC/Salem State) instructing and gained valuable experience to prepare me for the commuter ailrline world. Although thrilled to get my first airline job flying Beech-99s for Mohawk Airlines, I kept in touch with BFC group and have nothing but good memories from those years. Thanks for giving me my first big career break!

First Officer, CRJ Series
While there are many paths to success in the aviation industry, the path I chose led me straight to the Beverly Flight Center. I am now a Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) first officer with Skywest Airlines, based in Salt Lake City, UT. But my roots and my success I owe to BFC. I started my training with BFC in 2001. Not only was I a student of BFC, but I also became an aircraft dispatcher/ front desk worker and later a flight instructor for Beverly Flight Center. I owe my success directly to the knowledge and professionalism of everyone at BFC. The diverse experience and excellent camaraderie of the entire staff, including Arne, the owner, made not only for an excellent place to learn and work, but also have shaped me into the pilot I am today.
