"There's no greater reward than seeing a student's face after coming back from their first solo." – Andrew Struppa
Andrew has been flying at the Beverly Flight Center since 2003, and instructing since 2008.
For as long as he could remember, Andrew's dream was to become a pilot. He spent many days watching the heavy jets takeoff and land at Boston's Logan Airport, and imagined himself sitting in the cockpit.
It wasn't until Andrew graduated High School that he decided he was going to pursue his lifelong dream. After doing some research, he stumbled across the Aviation Science program at North Shore Community College and promptly enrolled. Through NSCC and his training at Beverly Flight Center, Andrew earned his Private License, Instrument Rating, and Commercial License. Soon after, he obtained his Flight Instructor License and immediately began teaching at BFC.
When Andrew isn't flying, he enjoys making music. Andrew plays guitar, bass, and even some drums. Among his favorite bands are Thursday and Enter Shikari.
Andrew hopes to some day fly in Corporate Aviation.
